When Wayne Doyle wrote his second children’s book “My Grandmother Knows Everything” he had the perfect person for inspiration for his main character - his mum, Ann Doyle.
Award-winning author and illustrator Wayne Doyle’s second book “My Grandmother Knows Everything” has already caught the eye of several of Ann’s friends as well as children who have stopped and asked if she really did know everything like the nana in the book.
Ann is a little overwhelmed about being the central character in the book, but the resemblance is remarkable.
“I have been on a trampoline, but can’t recall ever doing a double back flip like the nana in the book,”
The book is the second in a series by Wayne Doyle and continues on the theme of the first successful book “My Grandad Can Make Anything.”
That was inspired by Wayne’s father, Bill, who was a great handyman. Using odd bits and pieces, Bill would create an endless stream of toys to keep the grandchildren amused.
